Tim Woodcock - Chairman

Tim Woodcock qualified as a Chartered Accountant at PwC. He is an experienced company Director who has held a number of main board roles for both public and private companies. He also has considerable Investment Management experience – in 2008 he co-founded Oakfield Capital Partners, a private equity firm specialising in investing and developing fast growing UK smaller companies.

Charlotta Ginman

Charlotta Ginman, FCA , qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Ernst & Young before spending a career in investment banking and commercial organisations, principally in technology and telecoms related industries. Former employers include S.G.Warburg (now UBS), Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan and Nokia Corporation.

Jeremy Hamer

Jeremy Hamer FCA, qualified as a Chartered Accountant before joining Coopers and Lybrand in Holland. His career then took him through a number of financial roles before becoming CEO of a private food group. Turning plural he spent 5 years investing for Elderstreet VCT while taking on a number of Non-Exec Board positions particularly on AIM. He is also a qualified executive coach.

Josephine Tubbs

Josie qualified as a solicitor in 1992 and worked in private practice for several years before becoming an in-house lawyer in 1997. Since 2006, Josie has been General Counsel for AXA Investment Managers in the UK before becoming General Secretary UK in 2019, a position she still holds. Since 2013 she has non-executive director roles on the boards of AXA IM’s Irish operating entities and the boards of various Irish domiciled investment funds.

Venture Capital Trusts

In relation to VCTs, the following generic information is provided. This should not be considered as a comprehensive explanation of the characteristics of and requirements associated with all VCTs and circumstances.

Investors must retain their VCT shares for five years to retain the up-front income tax relief. Please remember that the tax rules and regulations governing VCTs are subject to change. The tax reliefs available to certain investors in VCTs are dependent on individual circumstances as well as the VCT maintaining HM Revenue & Customs approval. If this approval is withdrawn, a VCT will lose its status and all tax reliefs are likely to be cancelled.

The share price of a VCT may not reflect its net asset value. There is only a limited secondary market for shares in VCTs which may render such shares difficult to sell as they may not be readily marketable. VCTs invest in unquoted and AIM-quoted companies which are therefore smaller and carry a higher level of risk than shares which are listed on the main market of the London Stock Exchange. The shares of VCT investee companies may not be readily marketable. Before making an investment, ensure that you have read and understood the risk warnings set out in the VCT prospectus. An investment in a VCT should be regarded as a long-term investment.
